Avery Dennison Announces Expansion in India

PUNE, India - March 22, 2007 - Avery Dennison (India) Pvt. Ltd. today announced the setting up of a new production facility located in the Ranjangaon Industrial Area of Pune, India. This significant venture demonstrates the company’s commitment to South Asia and is part of the on-going strategy to support growth in India.

John Quinn, vice president and general manager, Roll Materials Asia Pacific, says "The new plant will help Avery Dennison meet the increasing demand for more pressure-sensitive materials in India as we continue to grow along with our customers who are doing an excellent job serving local and increasingly global brand owners and retailers. The facility will be fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment and, together with the use of world-class manufacturing practices, will enable Avery Dennison to give solid support to customers in west and south India, providing them with a strong foundation for business growth.

Commercialization of the Pune plant is planned for later 2007 and Raj Srinivasan, managing director, Materials India adds, "Expanding our manufacturing capacity demonstrates our strong commitment to the Indian market.
